The Bloomfield Township Firefighters Charities (BTFD) works year round to help fund burn treatment research, prevent juvenile arson, assist local individuals in need and support community-based assistance programs. All in addition to being MDAs 2nd largest fire department donor in the state of Michigan. Since its beginning in the mid-1980s, BTFD has raised approximately $750,000.00 for these causes.
99.7% of all revenue generated goes to our special causes.
The BTFD Charities offers assistance in both local and surrounding areas. Our continued efforts help support medical treatment at The University of Michigan Trauma Burn Center, Children’s Hospital, Survival Flight of Michigan, and St. Jude’s. We also provide scholarships through Bloomfield Youth Guidance and the Oakland Community College Fire Academy.
